Nils Mönkemeyer is looking forward to a few special concerts in March.
First he is jumping in for Yuri Bashmet in Szczecin, performing Schnittke’s Viola Concerto – after that he is heading to London to play a duo recital with William Youn at the prestigious Wigmore Hall.
At the Musikverein Vienna he meets with Andrey Boreyko and the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra, where Nils will premiere Giya Kancheli’s “Styx” in Austria.
Last but not least, at the end of the month, Nils will perform the Bruch Double Concerto for Viola and Clarinet, with clarinetist Matthew Hunt, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under the baton of Paavo Järvi:
